IBM Medictio app for iPhone and iPad

An IBM Mobile Speech Recognition application (IBM Medictio), where a user can speak into the mobile device and the speech is real-time transcribed into text. IBM is revolutionising the way of how productivity mobile application can take advantage of sensors in the mobile device, including the microphone and intelligent writing reports through speech-to-text technology.


IBM Medictio is a dedicated speech recognition application, which is packaged with reporting functionalities. So the user can create a report, where the purpose is to dictate and real-time transcribe spoken natural language into written text. The report can additionally be attached with pictures, GPS coordinates and a map. Furthermore, written text can also be played as text-to-speech through the build-in loudspeakers of the mobile iOS device.


The user can also choose to copy the (transcribed) text from the report filed and paste into any other input field (in other applications or browser). Finally, the user can invoke the default installed Apple mail client and automatically get the report text and pictures attached in that email. Alternatively, the user can invoke the default installed Apple mail client and attach the report as a ".mtgk" format/file. Whoever receives this email on an iOS mobile device and has IBM Medictio installed can then import the report into the application and continue working on the report.
